Her track record of success is proven.

Reach The Beach - an annual cycling event for the American Lung Association of Oregon. She directed that event in 2001 & 2002, dramatically altering the cost to income ratio from 93% before her direction, to 50% at the time of her departure, just two years later. Under her direction, the ride showed a marked increase in participation, income, and publicity.

American Heart Walk -one of the American Heart Association's core fundraising events. She strategically placed key community members to serve on struggling event committee, allowing the event to widen and deepen its connection to the Portland community.

Wine & Blooms Dinner Auction - initially created in 1998 by Ms. Miller, this interesting event raised $11,000 in its first year, and over $55,000 its second. Attendance doubled in just one year, and Western Youth Development continues to use the event as a fundraising tool.

ELI Celebrity Open Golf Tournament & Auction, this two-day event raised nearly $250,000 each year for Western Youth Development. Included a dinner auction attended by 600 guests, followed by a double shotgun tournament with over 60 corporate teams from around the nation. A combination of local golf pros and nationally recognized athletes gathered for the event.

Ride for a Reason - during her participant in this cycling event from Olympia to Portland, the seed was planted for event planning and community involvement for Ms. Miller. She raised $1700 in one weekend for local AIDS organizations. The creativity, camaraderie, and intensity involved in working on that major event were a turning point in her professional career. Although she had been planning corporate events and weddings for catering companies and a local hotel, she began seeking out bigger events for the non-profit community.

Rivers Foundation of the Americas, serving on the board of this newly formed international community foundation, Ms. Miller aides the organization in raising its $30 million endowment through grant reviews, event planning, and public relations.

Ms. Miller has been the driving force behind these events. She has handled every aspect of event management, from the selling of an idea, to researching the market, to writing and keeping within a budget, to running a committee, to securing federal permits, to designing a brochure, to speaking to an audience of 2000. Creativity and logic are at the root of every good event, and Ms. Miller thrives on both.
